The development of new standards for describing documents on the net,
XML and MathML, has now made possible to include REAL mathematics
on a web page and to introduce this brand-new technology in
connection with mathematical education.
The
objectives of Xmath is to design a framework to
use MathML in on-line mathematical education and
to evaluate the pedagogical advantages of netbased education
in mathematics. The framework includes a content management
system, communication resources understanding Mathematical
symbols as well well dynamical calculations carried out on-the-fly.
It is hope that the e-Learning oportunities for
students of Mathematical courses can be enhanced this way.
